I am on my second day of blogging. Funny thing about this blogging thing is that every time a thought comes into mind, I immediately think how I am going to write about it or if the thought or experience is worth writing or not. Oh well, my first goal is to make this blogging thing a habit, so I am just going to continue writing even if it is kinda making my thought process more complicated.
I was thinking how I maybe one of the least “techie” persons around. I was never into gadgets, was never into chatting, never was into email too (unless it was necessary and important), never was into posting anything online (most of my posts–pics and videos were done by my patient husband), never was into computers, iPhones, Blackberries, etc. You get the point. I have always thought it makes me life simpler to live without them.
I remember one time at home, maybe a year ago when I wanted to use JA’s computer to check facebook and my email. Not wanting to destroy it, I called him and asked him to instruct me how to turn it on. He laughed at me, and explained that it will not explode and not to be afraid and it’s okay to figure it out. So I tried and it worked. I also asked him about something I thought of doing in the computer (something like dragging a file into another folder or whatever it was). I told him, It sounds too simple and even silly that it would work. Therefore, I resorted to my conclusion and did not try my amazing theory.
JA said something that kinda changed the way I viewed technology. He said, “Anna, technology is there to make your life easier. You do not have to be afraid of it.” I am not sure if I am fully sold to that, but I am willing to give technology a try. Hence, I am learning facebook and blogging too!
I thank God for giving me a husband who balances me and challenges me to be up with the times. Imagine how primitive I will be without him.
Anyway, my only point is this, I’ve realized that it is never too late to try. And who knows, I might end up enjoying this whole new adventure. And God might bless me with a Blackberry or an iPhone (JA corrected my spelling of Iphone in my previous paragraph).
And JA said someday, I might be better at this than him. Although I highly doubt that.
I will blog again tomorrow. I am actually starting to look forward to it.
nice one anna! my wife is not into technology too!!!
“JA said, “Anna, technology is there to make your life easier.”

Posted by annamoran | 02. Apr, 2010, 10:16 pm@yanangski I love helping Anna build this site, but I OFTEN get lost. I check her stats before I check my email! I’ve gone addicted.
Sarah & Vanj were big helps! Oh, I copied the Flag Counter from your site. That’s a cool plugin. LOL!
