In my previous blog, I mentioned that friends (old and new) are wonderful blessings from God. I am grateful for the friendships that I have built throughout the years. They are a great source of joy in my life and in my family’s life (JA and Andi). Friends enrich my life!
Today is the birthday of one of my dearest friends, Jenn Punzalan. I call her Ate Jenn (for obvious reasons, haha). I appreciate her friendship beyond words. She is a friend, a sister and in so many ways a mentor to me. She has been there for me when I was still single, when JA started to court me, when I got engaged, when I got married, when we transfered to our first home, when I got pregnant, when I gave birth, when I started and struggled to breastfeed, and everything in between and after that. She has inspired and encouraged me to be a better wife and mom. She and Kuya Pao have opened up their home to us countless of times. They have guided us as individuals in our walk with God, and as a couple and now as parents too.
I will make her read this, so here is my simple message to her for her birthday:
We (JA, Andi and I) appreciate and love you, Kuya Pao and the kids. We thank God for you and your family everyday. We consider you guys as family, not just friends.
I am looking forward to many more years of friendship with you. Not soon, but someday we will be sharing notes about our grandkids! But you will get there first and (as always) I will learn from you.
Happy __ Birthday!
Here are several pictures throughout the years with Ate Jenn and some of our common friends:
