A Book that Speaks my Heart

“…I know that I want my life to come as close as I can to realize the goodness God intended for it. I know this is my only chance , and I know I want to minimize the gap between what shall be and what might have been as much as I can. I know that as long as I’m living it’s not too late–because I have this day. I know I want to ask God for commands, not guarantees, because when God commands, he enables…And I know that one day it will have been worth it.”–John Ortberg (If You Want To Walk on Water You’ve Got to Get Out of the Boat)

I couldn’t have said it any better. Reading this book is like reading what is in my heart, plus what I need to hear.

John Ortberg is officially one of my most favorite authors. His book “A Life You’ve Always Wanted” is a must-read and is one of my all-time favorite books.

  1. it sounds like words of life, words of purity, words of living.all that I could feel is the reality veiled under roughness of life, that we always can feel deep inside, but rarely can figure out.

  2. it sounds like words of life, words of living, words of reality. Its like fresh air to breath that we always want deep inside our heart.but can rarely reach it.it stays under the Vail.still, we get a chance to breath.
