Last May 11, 2011, I co-hosted the lauching of the campaign against human/child trafficking: Called to Rescue. Before that night I knew very little about human trafficking. I thought I was just to host another event but I was moved beyond words. Child-trafficking is closer to home than we think. The facts are heart-gripping and alarming. And if we do not do anything about it, it is just going to get worse and worse.
Every year, there are 1.2 million children who become victims of child trafficking around the world, 100, 000 of those are Filipino children.
To get you more informed, here is a video made by my husband JA Moran for the event last May 11, 2011 held in Edsa Shangri-la Hotel.
Let’s all get involved! Spread the word. Share this to everyone you know. Use your Facebook, Twitter, and write blogs to inform others about it. Volunteer. Give. There are countless ways to get yourself involved. For more details, check out: calledtorescue.org
This is not just someone else’s fight. This is our fight. We can’t just can sit down and do nothing and let our children be victims and the future generations be destroyed with this evil. We are all called to do something. We are all called to fight for our children. We are all called to rescue.

To those few who read my blogs regularly, sorry for the months of absence. It has been 3 months since I’ve updated my site. For those of you who do not know, I am 4months pregnant, and the first 3 months of my pregnancy has been very challenging and very difficult to say the least. My morning sickness and our poor internet connection at home (which soon will be fixed I hope) has put me in hibernation mode. But I am back! Well, I will do my best to write again as much as I can. I really miss blogging.
I wrote this as my coming back blog entry for several reasons: First is, it has been in my draft since May. Second, I believe everyone should be informed of this reality and I want to my share to increase awareness. Third, I am a mother myself and I cannot imagine this kind of evil even coming close to my children.
“…I know that I want my life to come as close as I can to realize the goodness God intended for it. I know this is my only chance , and I know I want to minimize the gap between what shall be and what might have been as much as I can. I know that as long as I’m living it’s not too late–because I have this day. I know I want to ask God for commands, not guarantees, because when God commands, he enables…And I know that one day it will have been worth it.”–John Ortberg (If You Want To Walk on Water You’ve Got to Get Out of the Boat)
I couldn’t have said it any better. Reading this book is like reading what is in my heart, plus what I need to hear.
John Ortberg is officially one of my most favorite authors. His book “A Life You’ve Always Wanted” is a must-read and is one of my all-time favorite books.
